    The Purpose of Your Role

    The primary goal of the field rep is to drive referrals from healthcare providers, inpatient mental health facilities, and therapists. Success will primarily be measured by the number of new patients resulting from your efforts. Activities that result in success include: prospecting new referral sources, educating referrers on what we do, how we have the best results in the industry, what type of patient is a good fit, how to refer, and overcoming objections.

    These conversations typically happen when the field rep brings lunch in for the office of primary care, pediatric, internal medicine, OBGYN, psychiatrist, therapist, or other referral sources. These conversations also happen through one-on-one interactions while visiting a referring office to thank them/follow up on a past conversation, group presentations, clinic tours, attending and exhibiting at conferences, and hosting company-sponsored functions. An effective field rep will learn about the various diagnoses we treat and effectively communicate how we do so to achieve unparalleled results. The field rep will set activity and new patient admission goals and create plans to achieve those goals. Weekly reporting and accountability is essential as is maintaining all referral contacts and activity up to date in our CRM/Salesforce. World-class outreach relationships are built on honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity.

    Responsibilities:

    • Drive referrals from healthcare providers, inpatient mental health facilities, therapists, and other referral sources
    • Holds daily luncheons with healthcare providers and other referral sources
    • Manages referral source relationships, ensures continuous and effective communication with contacts, and responds to all inquiries, requests, and referrals in a timely manner
    • Prospects potential partnerships with organizations such as hospitals, inpatient treatment, primary care providers, psychiatrists, and behavioral health providers
    • Identifies decision makers in healthcare offices, reaches out to establish key relationships
    • Conducts face-to-face meetings with key decision-makers to uncover needs, address barriers to treatment, and create community partnerships
    • Ensures that their time is spent managing their territory and referral sources that produce the most results
    • Develops weekly and monthly activity goals including admissions goals and creates achievable plans to reach goals
    • Maintains and exceeds the target number of face-to-face interactions, contacts, and admits for the assigned market
    • Identifies appropriate events and opportunities to educate the community about TOATC programs and provides education/technical/administrative support for planning and execution
    • Learns and practices de-escalation techniques (may occasionally be exposed to high-stress environments)
    • Creates and maintains excellent record keeping of referral sources activity and outreach efforts in our CRM
    • Support and train team members

    The Skills and Expertise You Have:

    • 1 years experience in sales or outreach position
    • Active book of business (Required)
    • Local travel for community outreach (drives a personal vehicle for work purposes)
    • Relationship management
    • Excellent sales skills
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer software
    • Accurate and efficient electronic data entry
    • Must be punctual and maintain excellent attendance
    • Organized, detail-oriented, takes initiative, and completes job responsibilities independently
    • Multitask, problem-solve, interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Thrives in a changing work environment including inside, outside
    • Team oriented

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 2 years of experience in outside sales / referral generation efforts
    • Experience in the mental health field
    • History of achieving goals in the area of referral generation efforts in behavioral health
    • Proven ability to teach, train and effectively communicate programs features and benefits as well as how we treat various diagnoses effectively
    • History of creating strong relationships of trust with referents
    • Proficient in CRM and EMR software
    • Salesforce experience
    • Additional 3-5 years of experience in behavioral health, sales, or outreach
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field
