OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced individual to fill our Accountant position within our Reno, NV Office. Individual must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate has accounting experience, problem-solving skills, and proven construction accounting/job costing experience. This position reports directly to the Controller.
POSITIONS RESPONSIBILITIES:
➢Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts monthly
➢Accounts Receivable, including multi-family billing, sending out appropriate lien releases and following up with customers regarding past due balances
➢Assist Controller with other miscellaneous accounting needs when required
➢Prepare and post monthly indirect cost allocation
➢Review incoming contracts and flag items needed for discussion
➢Set-up signed contracts, prepare and maintain job folders
➢Reviews job costing and billings monthly and investigates any abnormalities with estimators and/or superintendents
➢Assists estimating with typing up bids and sending out to customers. Maintains all bid proposal files.
➢Prepares governmental tax returns and files with appropriate entity
➢Maintains accounting records by helping to define procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer and disposal of records
➢ Assist Controller with the design and implementation of office policies by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments
➢ Enhance department reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
➢ Assists in the processing of payroll when necessary
➢ Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must have proven experience in several of the following disciplines:
➢ Excellent Computer and Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word knowledge
