  • Position Summary

    Skagit Preschool and Resource Center (SPARC) is accepting applications for a full-time Family Resource Coordinator for the Skagit County area. The main office is located at our William Way location in Mount Vernon, WA.

    The Family Resource Coordinator is the initial contact for children and families with concerns regarding their child’s development. This position requires an employee who is willing to receive extensive training, communicate well with others, and follow through with assigned duties. If you are not a current FRC in Washington you will receive training from the Birth to Three Coordinator in conjunction with Early Support for Infant and Toddlers (ESIT). Bilingual candidates preferred.

    Essential duties and responsibilities

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    Team collaboration:

    · Attend weekly Birth to Three MDT meetings;

    · Collaborate with Preschool Coordinator;

    · Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologist’s, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and other Family Resource Coordinators;

    Family outreach:

    · Conduct initial screening and home visits from referrals for SPARC;

    · Conduct initial Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) (Entry Child Outcome Summary COS) for children;

    · Carry an active caseload of 24-40 clients;

    · Conduct report writing for initial developmental screenings;

    · Conduct initial IFSP reviews, annuals, transition conferences and exit COS.

    Data collection and maintaining records per ESIT guidelines:

    · Enter all data into the ESIT DMS in a timely manner;

    · Collect data and information from clients;

    · Gather necessary resources for children and families;

    · Stay current with ESIT policies and procedures.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Knowledge of:

    • Federal, state, and local regulations and requirements for the program;
    • Evaluation procedures for client intake process.

    Skills and Abilities to:

    • Exceptional communication and strong interpersonal skill;
    • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision;
    • Proficiency in Microsoft office software and all Microsoft office applications;
    • Strong organizational skills.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Over 18 years of age
    • Valid Driver’s License

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Early Childhood Education Certificate
    • Bilingual Preferred
    • Prior work experience as a Family Resource Coordinator

    Supervisory responsibilities: None

    Work environment: Office environment/Home Visits

    Physical demands: Ability to sit, stand, or kneel. Lift no more than 20 lbs.

    Travel required: Local travel required.

    Pay: $23.55 - $26.83 per hour
