    The significance of the work:  It plays an essential role in assisting the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) in providing financial and technical assistance, as well as in transferring defense materiel, training, and services, and also in promoting military-to-military contacts.


    What You’ll Do: Ensure that all Section 333 and Section 1263 programs adhere to all Congressional Tranche Notification guidelines and requirements by providing support to the RPPD's Operational Support Branch (OSB), Regional Divisions, and Group Control Division (GCD). As part of this role, you will also be responsible for assisting in the development and coordination of the Congressional Tranche Notification packages.
     

    Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:

    • Facilitates RPPD business operations necessary to manage the $1.5B International Security Cooperation Programs Account.
    • Provide organizational support for the RPPD Deputy Assistant Director. 
    • Provide logistical support for development of Sec. 333 and 1263 tranche notification packages.
    • Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date tracker of the status of tranche development through Congressional notification.
    • Attend briefings and assist with the capture of Congressional RFIs and coordinate with DSCA regional teams and DSCA STO to compile a consolidated response. 
    • Assist with the collection and production of briefing materials. Aid in the preparation and printing of Congressional products and reports, including tranche materials before in-person briefings. Construct and collate briefing books for the Deputy AD.
    • Attend briefings, take notes, and assist with the capture of Congressional Requests for Information. Coordinate with DSCA RPPD, GCD, and DSCA STO to collect and consolidate responses to provide back to the committees. 
    • Maintain a detailed tranche status tracker on each Sec. 332, 333, and 1263 tranche in development. Verify the status of each tranche and update the tracker on Friday of each week. 
    • Assist the Tranche Manager with collection of information necessary to develop a detailed and legally compliant Sec. 333 and Sec. 1263 tranche notification. Identify and seek out missing information from RPPD, GCD, and other stakeholders. 
    • Conduct thorough review of tranche materials before sending to the DSCA DIR and USDP for signature. Review for consistency, and accuracy of information, within the tranche:  1) Ensure program and partner names are consistent, values in the tables match, etc. 2) Review each tranche and coordinate with the ISCP finance manager to ensure it aligns with the current ISCP Spend Plan. 
    • At the direction of the Deputy Assistant Director RPPD, help track and report on status of incoming tasks. Assist team members with compiling responses to tasks requiring inputs from multiple RPPD teams, such as GAO or IG reports.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s degree 
    • Five (5) years of relevant work experience  


    Security Clearance Requirements:

    • This position requires you to have an active Secret Clearance.  A government background investigation will be conducted on selected applicants to determine whether they qualify for access to classified information.
