Respiratory Care Manager jobs in Pierre, SD
Respiratory Care Manager plans and implements the overall respiratory care policies, procedures, and services. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Being a Respiratory Care Manager directs the activities of the respiratory therapy section. Supervises technical staff and students. Additionally, Respiratory Care Manager prepares departmental budgets and reports. Evaluates new equipment and procedures. Typically requires RRT registration. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Respiratory Care Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Respiratory Care Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Summary
- The Patient Care Technician performs duties related to patient care under the direct guidance of a Respiratory Therapist.
- They are responsible for clerical duties as well.
Education and/or Experience
- High school graduate or GED required.
- 0-6 months of experience is required.
Certification/Licensure/Registrations
- BLS completed within 6 months of start date is required and must be maintained.
- Certification in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) within one year of employment is required.
- Certification requirement to be maintained while working in the department.
Work Schedule
- Varied shifts as needed; PRN
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
