Being a Respiratory Care Manager directs the activities of the respiratory therapy section. Supervises technical staff and students. Additionally, Respiratory Care Manager prepares departmental budgets and reports. Evaluates new equipment and procedures. Typically requires RRT registration. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Respiratory Care Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. As a Director of Respiratory Care Services you are the heart of the respiratory care department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at The Grove at The Lake by overseeing and supervising all aspects of the respiratory care department including planning, directing, and supervising the activities of the respiratory care staff, developing, implementing and updating department policies and procedures, ensuring adequate staffing for resident needs and providing education and training to employees and residents. To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:
As a minimum, be a graduate of a CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy program, unencumbered State of Illinois CRT or RRT certificate, C.P.R. certification, five (5) years of Respiratory Therapist experience and previous experience managing a department. Ten (10) years of Respiratory Therapist experience and three (3) years of experience as a Director of Respiratory Care or similar role is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
