Respiratory Care Manager plans and implements the overall respiratory care policies, procedures, and services. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Being a Respiratory Care Manager directs the activities of the respiratory therapy section. Supervises technical staff and students. Additionally, Respiratory Care Manager prepares departmental budgets and reports. Evaluates new equipment and procedures. Typically requires RRT registration. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Respiratory Care Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Respiratory Care Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Under the supervision of the Manager of Respiratory Therapy, performs general and administrative duties as they relate to the functioning of the Department of Respiratory Therapy. In addition to His/Her duties as a Respiratory Therapist, He/She would perform primary functions of managing the workload and staffing, participating in the Project Improvement (PI) process, participating in employee evaluations, and acting as a resource and problem resolution adjunct for the Respiratory Therapy Department.

    Shift details: Full time, Day shift, No Daily Overtime 40 Hour Week

    Required Qualifications:

    • Coursework/Training: Graduate of an AMA approved school for Respiratory Care.

    • Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.

    • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

    • Sufficient experience to provide advanced knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and techniques applicable to a wide variety of work characteristic to the Respiratory Care field involving both unusual and commonplace work situations: usually interpreted as three to five years of appropriate experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Supervisory experience.
