Respiratory Therapist - Home Care works in a home care environment and assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. Being a Respiratory Therapist - Home Care treats patients with pressure breathing, mechanical ventilation, positive pressure breathing, humidity/medicated aerosol therapy, medical gas administration, pulmonary drainage procedures, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is an impairment. Additionally, Respiratory Therapist - Home Care operates oxygen and other therapeutic gas and mist equipment. Requires a credential of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Requires an associate's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Respiratory Therapist - Home Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     Full-time shifts Monday - Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
     
    Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 
    • Non-Invasive and Invasive Ventilator Experience Preferred
    •  Long Term Care Facility - Working with patients for better Pulmonary Outcomes. Patient Assessments and RT Recommendations. 
    • This role will work closely with referring physicians, hospital personnel, and other clinicians to ensure the best professional care of the patient
    • Working as part of the Long Term Care Team of health care professionals to manage patient care
    • Completes all appropriate initial and follow up assessments in a timely manner
    • Demonstrate competence on equipment safety and troubleshooting, equipment setup, operation, and cleaning of equipment relative to assigned responsibilities.
    • Provide education to Long Term Care Teams on Respiratory Management
    • Follow Company policies and procedures related to the use of personal protective equipment, safety issues, infection control, and equipment maintenance.
    • Adheres to all regulatory compliance areas, policies and procedures and performance improvement standards.
    • Adhere all HIPAA Regulatory Compliance.
    • Perform other duties as requested.
     
    Requirements & Qualifications:
    • Associates Degree CRT/RRT NBRC 
    • Ohio License 
    • Must possess a valid driver's license.
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal, time management, and problem‐solving abilities.
    • Demonstrate a professional, positive demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to multitask and communicate effectively in person, over the phone and electronically.
    • Successful completion of background check, drug screening, and pre-employment physical.
