WEEKEND THERAPISTS NEEDED

The Phoenix Center for Rehab & Pediatrics is a 227 bed skilled nursing facility located in Haskell, NJ. We are looking for devoted and caring Respiratory Therapists to work every weekend. 7 AM – 7 PM Shift OR 7 PM – 7 AM Shift.

Our Respiratory Therapists examine, diagnose, and treat our residents with respiratory and cardiopulmonary diseases.

Responsibilities as a Respiratory Therapist:

• Interview and examine residents with breathing difficulties
• Consult with doctors and nursing staff to develop and modify resident treatment plan
• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests to measure lung capacity
•  Use equipment to administer oxygen to the resident to assist with breathing
• Connect residents who cannot breathe to a ventilator
• Educate residents on how to use the equipment and medication
• Monitor a resident’s response to medication and alter when needed
•  Regularly check on residents and equipment

Requirements for a Respiratory Therapist

• Must have BLS
• Must be a RRT
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Must be patient and sensitive to resident needs
• Must be able to work every weekend
• Must be fully vaccinated for Covid
