Respiratory Therapist - Home Care jobs in Springfield, OR

Respiratory Therapist - Home Care works in a home care environment and assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. Being a Respiratory Therapist - Home Care treats patients with pressure breathing, mechanical ventilation, positive pressure breathing, humidity/medicated aerosol therapy, medical gas administration, pulmonary drainage procedures, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is an impairment. Additionally, Respiratory Therapist - Home Care operates oxygen and other therapeutic gas and mist equipment. Requires a credential of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Requires an associate's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Respiratory Therapist - Home Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     Pay range is $17-$20/hr depending on the clients care needs.

    • Example shifts:
    • 8a-12p, 9a-1p, 10a-2p, 8a-5p, 9a-6pm, 9a-2p, 10a-3p, 4p-6p, 2p-5p, 4p-8pm, 6p-8pm
    • We offer shifts that are 2 hours to 12 hours! We will work with your availability!

    Caregiver Job Duties:
    Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to): 
    • Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.) 
    • Cooking and/or serving meals 
    • Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom 
    • Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies 
    • Driving clients (as needed) to the store or appointments 
    • Monitoring and reporting on their condition 
    Additional Information:
    • Our hiring process is fast and simple! Apply and the recruiter in your region will connect with you to schedule a phone interview. If hired, you will be scheduled for orientation at your branch. Once you have completed onboarding, orientation, and training, you can start working with clients! 
    • If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings! 
    Requirements:
    • 18 years  
    • Ability to pass a state and national background check 
    • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record 
    • Ability to complete state-required caregiver/HCA training as needed
