We are seeking a detail oriented billing coordinator to join our team. The billing coordinator will be responsible for ensuring precise and timely billing for durable medical equipment.

This role requires computer skills, knowledge of insurance billing, and communication skills. There will be some customer interaction required as well.

Responsibilities :

• Verify and review the accuracy of customer demographics along with insurance information
• Obtain prior authorizations from insurance providers
• Prepare and submit claims electronically to insurance companies
• Support other departments with the occasional processing of customer payments
• Maintain customer records and update billing information as necessary
• Assist with medical documentation collection and handle customer inquiries regarding billing
• Collaborate with other employees to ensure accurate coding and documentation

Additional Qualifications (but not required) :

• Previous experience in a medical office or third party billing knowledge
• Familiarity with medical records management and electronic health records
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and billing procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficient in ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems
• Bilingual capabilities are admired but not required
• Knowledge and experience with Brightree software
• 1-2 years of insurance verification / prior authorization

Additional Information :

Hours : Monday Friday 8 : 30am 5 : 00pm

Potential hybrid work is negotiable after 90 day probation period
