Respiratory Therapy Director directs the programs and staff of the respiratory therapy department. Oversees the provision of diagnostic, treatment, and educational services for patients with respiratory disorders. Being a Respiratory Therapy Director develops and implements respiratory care services in accordance with the policies of the hospital and the directives of the medical staff. Monitors patient progress and treatment plans. Additionally, Respiratory Therapy Director manages departmental budgets and reports, and maintains department records and statistics. Requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires Registered Respiratory Therapist. The Respiratory Therapy Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     What we're looking for: Respiratory Therapy Faculty at our Visalia Campus.

    Summary: Under the immediate supervision of the program director, the incumbent faculty is responsible for classroom instruction, laboratory integration, and coordination of student activities within a particular course of study in the respiratory care program curriculum. As a clinical faculty, they participate in bedside clinical instruction and other aspects of program instructional strategies, visitation of designated clinical sites, bedside clinical instruction, and coordination of clinical student training.

Faculty are supported and supervised by the Academic Dean, Program Director and/or Division Manager.

    What We Offer: The targeted starting pay range for this position is between $28.00 - $38.00 per hour. Our benefits program for part-time colleagues (working at least 20 hours per week) includes paid vacation and state-compliant sick leave.     • Associate; Bachelor's preferred
    • RRT Credential (issued by NBRC)
    • Licensed or eligible for licensure in California
    • AHA BLS Provider Certified required
    • BLS Instructor Certified preferred
      • The instructor card is the equivalent of BLS CPR and First Aid cards and can be presented singly for compliance with BLS Provider.
