Respiratory Therapy Director jobs in Queens Village, NY

The Director is responsible for the provision of Respiratory Therapy services for a large New York City based skilled nursing facility.

Major Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Develops, implements & supervises all Respiratory therapy care
• Responsible for ordering and maintaining equipment and supplies for activities
• Hire, schedule and supervise respiratory therapy staff
• Experience with Ventilators, trach management and decannulation
• Responsible for all required documentation and assessments in medical record
• Member of the interdisciplinary & management teams.
• Maintains Respiratory Therapy polices and trains staff in Respiratory Therapy
• Local Travel Required
• Salary Negotiable with Experience

Part III: ADA Standards

Physical Demands:   Able to travel within the facility and in the community independently. Able to use automobile and/or public transportation. Able to lift 50 lbs. Able to have manual dexterity and strength to perform wound care for residents.

 Mental Demands:   Able to maintain focus and attention for extended periods of time.  Able to communicate and use language in a professional manner. Managing, judging, analyzing, coordinating, organizing and prioritizing various administrative tasks daily.

Working Conditions:   Nursing Home, office, patient rooms in nursing home and hospital settings.
