General Description:

The therapist is expected to be able to perform all modes of Respiratory care as defined in the department policy and procedure manual. These tasks will include, but are not limited to delivery of small volume nebulizer, drawing of arterial blood gases, maintaining artificial airways and mechanical ventilation. The therapist must be competent to deliver these therapies to all age groups ranging from perinatal to geriatric.

Work Experience/Requiremets:

• Must be a graduate of an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care.

Education:

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care.
• Licensed in the state of Massachusetts in Respiratory care.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers (BLSHP).
• Maintenance of CEU's in accordance with the regulation of licensure in the state of Massachusetts
