Respiratory Therapy Supervisor supervises, organizes, and coordinates the clinical and technical aspects of services rendered to ensure the delivery of quality respiratory therapy treatment. Specific duties may include: counseling staff members about appropriate procedures and policies, performing therapeutic procedures, running quality control tests on all blood gas analyzers, and maintaining equipment. Being a Respiratory Therapy Supervisor is responsible for the administration of oxygen, therapeutic gas, and respiratory medications to patients in accordance with physician orders. Develops, implements, and controls the provision of therapeutic patient care services. Additionally, Respiratory Therapy Supervisor plans and coordinates the daily work activities of respiratory therapists in accordance with hospital policies and the directives of medical staff. Ensures that all policies and procedures are followed according to the facility and department. Requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.     General Role Description:

    • Responsible for supervision of Art Therapist and Counseling team
    • Work to further develop the goals and strategies of Expressive Therapies through its Mission and Vision, as well as our Policies and Procedures as part of the Leadership Team
    • Develop and implement creative arts therapy programming such as trainings, events, workshops, and groups
    • Help manage any performance related issues with the art therapy staff in a prompt, professional manner, and partner with the HR generalist to implement any Performance Improvement Plans when needed
    • Assist in yearly performance reviews of staff
    • Participate in weekly team meetings and professional development with the team as scheduled
    • Maintain an open mind to a variety of art therapy approaches
    • Develop and support new opportunities for clients, staff, and our community
    • Maintain a caseload of therapy clients for children and adults of all ages with a wide variety of abilities and needs based on program needs

    Employment Standards, Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Master’s Degree in Art Therapy / Counseling: Must have ATR or ATR-BC as well as LPC or LCSW licensures
    • At least (1-2) one to two years of Art therapy/Counseling experience post licensure, and at least (1) one year supervisory experience preferred
    • Driven to support organizational growth, focused on the clinical services delivered by the organization
    • Strengths in problem solving/analysis, decision making, clinical supervision and communication
    • Excellent teamwork orientation
    • Must have a car and a valid driver’s license
