Respiratory Therapy Supervisor supervises, organizes, and coordinates the clinical and technical aspects of services rendered to ensure the delivery of quality respiratory therapy treatment. Specific duties may include: counseling staff members about appropriate procedures and policies, performing therapeutic procedures, running quality control tests on all blood gas analyzers, and maintaining equipment. Being a Respiratory Therapy Supervisor is responsible for the administration of oxygen, therapeutic gas, and respiratory medications to patients in accordance with physician orders. Develops, implements, and controls the provision of therapeutic patient care services. Additionally, Respiratory Therapy Supervisor plans and coordinates the daily work activities of respiratory therapists in accordance with hospital policies and the directives of medical staff. Ensures that all policies and procedures are followed according to the facility and department. Requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.     Our Billing Department excels on a high level of accuracy and outstanding attention to detail to thrive in the job. The billing specialist will work directly with insurers and patients to resolve billing discrepancies and related issues.

    Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
    • Revenue billing specialists must process claims quickly and accurately, and ensure there are no errors or issues on the claim. They may also have to do a bit of administrative work, updating patients' medical files and ensuring that other members of the staff are aware of the changes.
    • Revenue billing specialists must support patients in a compassionate, professional and patient manner.
    • Mange and resolve high balance payor accounts by working aging report daily.
    • Private Insurance Authorization Renewals
    • Resolve Denials
    • Payment Applications
    • Work with insurances and patients to determine the method of payment for services provided. This includes administrative duties, such as managing financial and medical records.
    • Revenue billing specialist must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to monitor, audit and bill accounts.
    • Work alongside Order Intake team, managers, physicians, nurses and other healthcare workers in a supportive administrative role.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced and hectic work environment.
    • Meet with management to review work productivity
    • Predictable and reliable attendance required.
    • As assigned by management

    Minimum Requirements:
    • One or more years of billing experience. Preferably in Durable Medical Equipment, with an emphasis on Medicare.
    • Experience in medical terminology, accounts receivable, insurance collections or billing.
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Candidates must be able to successfully pass background and drug screen investigations
    • Bilingual preferred, not required
