Respiratory Therapy Supervisor jobs in Jamestown, NY
Respiratory Therapy Supervisor supervises, organizes, and coordinates the clinical and technical aspects of services rendered to ensure the delivery of quality respiratory therapy treatment. Specific duties may include: counseling staff members about appropriate procedures and policies, performing therapeutic procedures, running quality control tests on all blood gas analyzers, and maintaining equipment. Being a Respiratory Therapy Supervisor is responsible for the administration of oxygen, therapeutic gas, and respiratory medications to patients in accordance with physician orders. Develops, implements, and controls the provision of therapeutic patient care services. Additionally, Respiratory Therapy Supervisor plans and coordinates the daily work activities of respiratory therapists in accordance with hospital policies and the directives of medical staff. Ensures that all policies and procedures are followed according to the facility and department. Requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. - Sign-On Bonus Details:
- $5,000.00 – 2yr Commitment | 0-1 years experience & recent graduates (GPNs)
- $7,500.00 – 2yr Commitment | 1 years experience
Purpose:
Provides professional nursing care to office patients under the supervision of patient care providers.
Responsibilities:- Draw blood.
- Comply with the requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
- Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM, and IV drip.
- Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Assess the patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
- Perform IV therapy under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
- Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
- Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, and communicating physician advice/instructions.
Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. One year of clinical experience is preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
