Respiratory Therapy Supervisor supervises, organizes, and coordinates the clinical and technical aspects of services rendered to ensure the delivery of quality respiratory therapy treatment. Specific duties may include: counseling staff members about appropriate procedures and policies, performing therapeutic procedures, running quality control tests on all blood gas analyzers, and maintaining equipment. Being a Respiratory Therapy Supervisor is responsible for the administration of oxygen, therapeutic gas, and respiratory medications to patients in accordance with physician orders. Develops, implements, and controls the provision of therapeutic patient care services. Additionally, Respiratory Therapy Supervisor plans and coordinates the daily work activities of respiratory therapists in accordance with hospital policies and the directives of medical staff. Ensures that all policies and procedures are followed according to the facility and department. Requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our team. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing supervision and guidance to a team of therapist, ensuring the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services. This is a leadership role that requires strong clinical expertise and the ability to effectively manage and support a team.
Responsibilities:
Do a minimum of 25 hours of Observation & Direction a week.
Do a minimum of 2 hours/week of O&D for each client.
Doing Observation & Direction will have 2 main job objectives:
a. Being aware of the progress clients are making.
b. Being aware of the progress therapists are making.
Compile a monthly report the entails the following:
a. Each therapists’ job performance review
b. Each Clients’ progress report for that month
Make clients' daily schedules and identify for therapists what goals need to be worked on for that session.
Conduct family training and therapy for parents at the beginning of each month
discussing their child's progress, their child's needs, tips they can use at home and
anything else that you may think is necessary.
Creation of clients’ programs and the constant updating of such programs on a need to
basis.
Work and communicate with BCBA on a weekly basis.
a. Work under the BCBA’s direction and strategy using the ABA modality. BCBA
will give general instruction on strategy, programing, scheduling and therapy
structure, and the clinical supervisor will be responsible in executing that strategy
with their clients and therapists.
