Respiratory Therapy Supervisor supervises, organizes, and coordinates the clinical and technical aspects of services rendered to ensure the delivery of quality respiratory therapy treatment. Specific duties may include: counseling staff members about appropriate procedures and policies, performing therapeutic procedures, running quality control tests on all blood gas analyzers, and maintaining equipment. Being a Respiratory Therapy Supervisor is responsible for the administration of oxygen, therapeutic gas, and respiratory medications to patients in accordance with physician orders. Develops, implements, and controls the provision of therapeutic patient care services. Additionally, Respiratory Therapy Supervisor plans and coordinates the daily work activities of respiratory therapists in accordance with hospital policies and the directives of medical staff. Ensures that all policies and procedures are followed according to the facility and department. Requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. In person ABA Field Trainer/ Mid-Level Supervisor

  • Position Summary

    As a Field trainer/ Supervisor , your duties will include supporting Behavior Therapist (BTs) and parents by training them in person on cases. Please note to be considered, an ideal candidate must have late evening and weekend availability for this role (5pm-10pm Monday-Friday and Weekends 9am-5pm is required) This role is paid at a higher rate due to in person requirements.

    • Field trainers are required to go in person to support all new BTs, seasoned BTs and parents that require additional support on cases by modeling the targets based on the treatment plan
    • Field trainer train BTs on adding data in the data collection system which has been added by the clients supervisor
    • Field trainers provide support on data collection by collecting IOA, supporting the BT with writing clinical appropriate session notes based on the session with that specific client
    • Supporting new BTs for the first session at least and communicating best start date based on availability, providing additional training should the BT need additional support
    • Scheduling a seasoned BT within 2 weeks of their supervisors request for their BT to have in person support if they cannot attend in person due to being out of state, if the 2 weeks very are busy due to other job commitments such as SSG and new BTs beginning communication with the supervisor requesting
    • Reviewing new BT session notes and providing feedback until the BT is independently writing session notes to standard
    • Communicating with the supervisor on the case prior to that you are billing for the client and how many hours you will need to train the BT on all job duties including in person training and indirect review of notes created by new BTs on the specific clients case
    • Supporting parents with caregiver training in person by teaching ABA suggestions and strategies hands on with the caseload that has been directly assigned to field trainer as the supervisor
    • Must be willing to travel to cities in and Contra Costa county; drive time client to client is covered at $16 per hour with 0.67 cents per mile.

    Qualifications & Physical Requirements

    • Master’s Degree required preferably in ABA or a related field
    • Prior experience working as a Behavior Therapist for at least 2 years
    • Prior experience as a ABA supervisor at least 2 years
    • Must be able to lift 30 to 60 pounds.
    • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
    • Be able to speak in a manner easily understood, be capable of driving a motor vehicle regularly
    • Must be able to receive detailed information through oral and written communication.
    • Exhibit manual dexterity to regularly enter data into a computer/tablet/phone; regularly use a computer/tablet/phone to view electronic screens.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
    • Specific auditory abilities required

    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

    Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
