SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES
1. Complies with department rules, policies and procedures, maintaining and supporting a safe and encouraging work environment.
2. Maintains station in a neat, clean orderly manner.
3. Rotates all food in assigned refrigerator and places all food in dated, labeled and clean containers.
4. Prevents the spoiling and contamination of foods by practicing proper sanitation and complying with health regulations.
5. Prepares on time all food items designated to the assigned station in accordance with standards of quality, quantity, taste, and presentation as established by the Executive Chef.
6. Inspects all food for taste, temperature and eye appeal.
7. Adheres to recipes and posted food pictures to ensure uniformity and consistency.
8. Prepares all items needed for the next day.
9. Accommodates guest requests for special food items as available.
10. Adheres to all cost control procedures.
11. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
12. May be required to assist in other departments when necessary or for training purposes.
PREREQUISITES
General: Must be age 18 or older. Must qualify for a Tribal Non gaming license.
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required. Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the work place.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year in a food preparation.
Physical: Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to four hours in length. Must have the ability to lift pots, pans and other items up to 50 pounds. Requires normal vision, including color acuity and depth perception, reaching, bending, stooping, grasping, finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination. Must be able to perform safely and effectively in conditions of wet floors and temperature extremes. - 6 Days Ago
