Restaurant Manager is responsible for overall operations of the restaurant, which may include overseeing the staff, monitoring inventory, purchasing equipment and supplies, and ensuring quality customer service and compliance with all food and beverage regulations. Trains, hires, and schedules other employees. Being a Restaurant Manager requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a top management. The Restaurant Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Restaurant Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     Responsibilities

    Each day as a General Manager with Firehouse Subs is an opportunity to lead, learn, and have a positive impact on your community. As part of our mission to sell more subs and save more lives, you will be responsible for:

    • Engaging with guests so they are cheerfully greeted, get questions correctly answered, have orders taken promptly, and are always thanked sincerely.
    • Leading your team of Managers and Team Members by example in keeping to Firehouse Subs policies, procedures, and standards while following all local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Creating operation plans focused on achieving excellent guest service, a positive work environment for your team, and a successful and profitable restaurant.
    • Communicating with Team Members and Managers while working together to meet the needs of our guest’s and make sure all restaurant functions and business requirements are accurately accomplished.
    • Supporting First Responders and local communities by participating in all Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation fundraising initiatives.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of college experience preferred
    • 3-5 years of previous restaurant management experience
    • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
    • Demonstrated leadership skills
    • Strong understanding of P&L management and drivers of restaurant profitability
