    Position Title: Maintenance Supervisor

    Department: Maintenance

    Classification: Non-Exempt

    Reports To: Facilities Manager

    Job Summary: Responsible for the successful direction of all activities in the Maintenance Department while ensuring the protection of life, assets, and property at the property. Ensures all general maintenance and repair functions are completed within approved guidelines and as directed.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Regularly inspects the premises, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution.

    2. Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.

    3. Controls and maintains surplus spare parts inventory, and ensures proper functioning of all maintenance equipment, coordinating outside repairs and maintenance as necessary.

    4. Ensures the quality of operations in the maintenance department.

    5. Creates, develops and implements an effective plan of departmental policies and procedures, maintaining consistency with established company guidelines and controls.

    6. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    7. Directs the flow of maintenance reports to the proper individuals within the company, always maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.

    8. Communicates with all department heads, to ensure problems are effectively and promptly resolved.

    9. Responsible for all general maintenance and repair of minor problems throughout the Casino complex as directed by Facilities Director.

    10. Conducts preventive maintenance on all equipment as assigned.

    11. Supports general maintenance employees as needed.

    12. Ensures adherence to all OSHA regulations and internal safety policies and procedures.

    13. Operates company vehicles as required.

    14. Promotes positive customer relations.

    15. Maintains the highest level of confidentiality

    16. Initiates and maintains communication with subordinates, employees, management, and other departments in facilitating the flow of information throughout the property.

    17. Operates as an emergency Pull/Count Team member as required.

    18. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

    Education/Experience/Qualifications

    Educational/Experience: High School Diploma or GED and 2-4 years of maintenance work experience. Supervisory experience preferred.

    Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Wyandotte Nation Gaming License.

    1. Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require team members to be available for evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedule may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts.

    2. Ability to interpret documents such as blue prints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure and technical manuals.

    3. Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

    4. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

    5. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    6. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    7. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    8. Ability to read, write and understand English.

    9. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business demands.

    10. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, management, and guests.

    11. Must have a friendly, outgoing personality.

    12. Maintain a professional demeanor in a high stress environment.

    13. Maintains an even temper and is friendly and positive with others, demonstrates good judgment, has positive interactions with co-workers and customers, and treats others with respect and dignity.

    14. Must be able to push and lift weight up to 50 pounds.

    15. Occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

    16. Must be able to work in areas containing high noise levels, secondary smoke and blinking lights.
