A/P Assistant Supervisor

Queens based wholesaler seeks an accountant with a minimum 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable with supervisory background in a high-volume environment.

• Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business with excellent communication and computer skills.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (strong Excel skills required).
• Must possess ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets and/or databases.

Responsibilities to include:

• Supervision of 30 clerical staff, reconciliation of monthly reporting as well as manage daily workload of the department ensuring all deadlines at met and rectify vendor issues.
• Assist in training accounts payable employees and payable system users as needed
• Oversee and monitor processing of inventory invoices and expense invoices
• Coordinate check-runs; and ensure the integrity of payable records and accounts.
• Support the Accounts Payable Director and ensure the monthly and year-end reports, allocations, accruals, and other ad-hoc reports, are prepared timely.
• Mentor and/or supervise Accounts Payable employees as needed.

Salary Information: $23.00-$25.00
