Position Summary | The Center for Healthcare Equity in Kidney Disease (CHEK-D) Biostatistician will provide a wide range of advanced statistical expertise and analyze multiple health services research data sets and provide biostatistical support to projects currently conducted under the Center. This position will be responsible for generating summary reports utilizing statistical computer software programs and tables of results for manuscripts, presentations, and research proposals. The Biostatistician will work closely with the Director and research team in routine meetings to contribute to the development and success of current and future research proposals.
Duties and responsibilities: 1. Participates in the design, analysis, and reporting of research studies; provides consultation to investigators and researchers on experimental design, and statistical research approaches, requirements, and scientific standard. 2. Works with investigators to formalize analysis plans and reporting specifications; advises on statistical analysis strategies, reliability of measurements and identifiability of models, and interpretation and presentation of statistical results. 3. Plans and documents computer data file structure; develops, programs, manages, and maintains complex statistical databases; performs data entry. 4. Uses a variety of advanced statistical software, methods, and techniques to gather, analyze, and interpret research data to derive useful information for research data; advises and assists in the development of inferences and conclusions, as appropriate. 5. Develops enhancements to statistical software, as appropriate, by programming new techniques; maintains knowledge of current and emerging trends in statistical analysis methodology. 6. Prepares a variety of comprehensive statistical reports according to presentation requirements; participates in manuscript preparation, to include preparation of data summaries and statistical results, for publication. 7.
