    The Assistant Retail Trainer is responsible for conducting training for team members at all levels. He or she collaborates with the Retail Sales and Training Manager, ROSD, Compliance, Human Resources, and other departments to develop and deliver training programs that will provide essential tools to strengthen knowledge, productivity, and performance, resulting in consistency of work standards. The Assistant Retail Trainer serves as one of the primary trainers for new hires and current employees in Retail positions. He or she provides ongoing Retail training in cases of updated/new products, relationship building, policies, procedures, or systems and to reinforce those already in place. The Assistant Retail Trainer assists in evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and employee performance. He or she maintains training library resources and distributes materials to managers and other personnel as needed. They ensures consistent, timely and relevant training opportunities are available and executed to support the strategic goals of the organization and to aid in long-term employee development. He or she provides support in the planning and implementation of large events and meetings.

    Qualifications

    • Must be at least 18 years old
    • High School diploma or equivalent required
    • Three or more years of hands-on training experience and/or at least two years in a retail banking position with experience in the paying and receiving function and opening deposit accounts
    • Knowledge of training practices and methods
    • Good understanding of retail operations within a Bank environment
    • Strong computer skills to include intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software
    • Professional appearance, dress, and attitude
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Able to accommodate and get along well with coworkers
    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment


    Responsibilities

    • Assumes responsibility for planning, developing, and conducting training for employees at all levels throughout the organization
    • Performs new hire training and orientations, on-the-job training programs, and in-service activities as necessary
    • Coordinates with various departments to identify the best methods and procedures for training and ensures technical elements of training are validated by appropriate parties prior to roll-out
    • Tracks all trainings, including read and confirms on the intranet for BVS, Policy updates, product knowledge, monthly security training and quarterly BSA training
    • Assist with updating the training calendar on the intranet as needed
    • Gathers feedback from training participants and evaluates training programs and services, analyzes course results to identify trends for improved learning and effectiveness, provides the results to management to keep them apprised of training program(s) effectiveness, and makes recommendations and suggestions for improvements of training programs and services
    • Prepares audio-visual aids, training manuals, scripts, and workbooks
    • Ensures the maintenance of Training Resources library and related audio-visual equipment
    • Schedules, prepares, and/or coordinates the physical setup for training, including any audio-visual equipment, and contacts attendees and department representatives about training program
    • Completes training functions in accordance with established programs and procedures
    • Takes a continual improvement approach to training by identifying opportunities to enhance design and deliver content and leverages in-person, video conference, and any other training format as best suited for the subject matter and audience
    • Assists the Retail Sales and Training Manager, Retail Trainers, and members of management in identifying training and development needs
    • Maintains the professional reputation of D.L. Evans Bank
    • Promotes D.L. Evans Bank at all times
    • Serves as a representative of D.L. Evans Bank and participates in community activities
