Retail Loss Prevention Auditor analyzes and reviews store accounting, inventory, and transaction data to detect issues and ensure that policies and programs to reduce loss are implemented. Evaluates processes and procedures to identify internal control weaknesses that could result in loss. Being a Retail Loss Prevention Auditor reviews patterns and trends related to product loss. Coordinates with law enforcement to conduct investigations of theft or fraud. Additionally, Retail Loss Prevention Auditor investigates employee policy violations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Retail Loss Prevention Auditor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
