Pricing and Rebates Analyst

  • SUMMARY

    Responsible for reviewing and analyzing all pricing related functions, as well as all aspects of customer rebates/chargebacks, allowances, and discounts.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


    • Responsible for the Managed Care rebates validation process as well as all other channels.
    • Work with external sources to monitor weekly progress of the initial validation process.
    • Evaluate customer compliance and review performance against contractual objectives.
    • Review Utilization files, address inconsistencies and distribute accordingly.
    • Ownership of pricing and rebate reporting for main stakeholders highlighting key observations and recommendations for impact.
    • Effectively analyze customer accounts for accrual balance or variances and provide recommendations for adjustments.
    • Primary liaison between Sales Operations department and Customer Service to address pricing issues, drop ship questions and approve new customer purchase orders.
    • Load and maintain pricing in QAD.
    • Identifies and resolves discrepancies by interacting with various stakeholders, primarily account managers and customers.
    • Work with Accounting to review month end reports and provide actuals as needed.
    • Develop tools to measure and improve the effectiveness of rebate processing and audits.
    • Assist in drafting and reviewing contract exhibits related to pricing and rebates.
    • Monitor and track special deals and/or promotions to ensure that reserves are in place.
    • Create profitability modules and/or pricing structure analysis to support risk and opportunity reviews.
    • Additional duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Intermediate Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


    REASONING ABILITY

    High Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
