The Job You Will Perform:
- This position supports the Florida Complex (Tampa, Plant City, Orlando) and Savannah, GA Container.
- Assists in the development of a first-class pricing strategy
- Works in an analytical capacity with the IntelliDeal Value Driver Project Lead, and the Complex/Facility Sales Leaders and General Managers to establish metrics and provide analysis on pricing and contract positioning of North American Container. Responsible for the review of pricing in strategies and analysis of contract performance at the national, regional and local level.
- Ensure IntelliDeal tool utilization, and follow streamlined approaches to data gathering and support sales staff to capture competitive pricing.
- Key driver in developing an IntelliDeal refined data gathering process to capture competitive pricing and discounting.
- Assists in the development of pricing strategies by customer and product line and is responsible for communicating strategies to the Complex/Facility Sales Management Team.
- Manages price exception reports, to include counseling sales force on parameters.
- Gathers, collates, and disseminates competitive information and maintains current market conditions, reviews market changes and competitive pricing.
- Responsible for reporting and analyzing the impact of pricing decisions on net selling prices.
- Executes escalation process for pricing strategy outliers and negative trends.
- Assists in ensuring price change audit completion and exceptions.
- Reviews Witron cost breakdowns for accuracy and effective cost allocation.
- Mid-tier pricing and distributor opportunity point of contact.
- NA pricing opportunity assistant.
- Runs IntelliDeal renew ongoing scenarios for local incumbent business.
- Manages local formula pricing customers (as applicable).
- Prioritizes and monitors revenue leakage customer recoup.
- Reviews and advises of HUB people assignment changes
- Reviews Launchpad/future Salesforce.com pipeline opportunities
- Responsible for the analysis of internal and external data sources used to measure customer, product and contract performance as it relates to the effectiveness of pricing strategy and performance-based contracts.
- Assist in data clean-up to ensure pricing accuracy
- Analyzes and creates ad-hoc price reports for Sales and Marketing Management
- Develops situational analysis to evaluate pricing proposals by field reps or customers.
- Coordinate the price forecast process, measure accuracy and employ different measure to improve upon accuracy.
- Business administrator of Contract Manager and QTT.
- Supports CVA and cost savings activities by tracking project outcomes and viability.
- Updates, reviews, and creates Witron estimates as needed for value driver projects (i.e. Redesign, Inventory Rebalance, MMO, Local Bids, etc.).
The Skills You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience required
- A minimum of 5 years related experience (pricing, forecasting, or reporting) of which 3 years were specifically within the paper industry.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and qualitative analysis skills required
- High proficiency with Crystal Reports, PowerBI, Consolidated Sales, Witron and MS Excel applications.
