Full Time Retail Sales Associate

Midwest Home Supply is bringing department store merchandise to you at prices like you haven’t seen before. We buy smart & pass the savings on to our neighbors & friends in our local community. We often get asked what we have & the answer is ‘just about everything’!

We are currently seeking a friendly & outgoing sales & customer service associate to help our visitors truly enjoy our unique and ever-changing store. In this role, you will demonstrate your amazing ability to seek out customers, greet them in an enthusiastic manner, engage with them, and help them have a fun & unique shopping experience.

Retail Sales Associate Duties & Responsibilities:

Greet & assist customers in an engaging & professional manner

Maintain the appearance of all displays, tidying as needed

Bring new inventory to the sales floor & display it in an appealing way

Be aware of all available products simply by noticing what we have in stock or be willing to ask for help

Become familiar with our replenishing inventory, such as furniture, mattresses, & more

Conduct yourself in a professional, upbeat manner & make every effort to ensure a great customer experience

Retail Sales Requirements and Qualifications:

Positive, friendly attitude & excellent communication & interpersonal skills

Enjoy engaging in dialogue with strangers, helping them make informed decisions

Must be honest, trustworthy, hardworking, reliable, & punctual

Must be a ‘self-starter’, able to identify things that need to be done, a& get them done

Must be eager to listen, learn, & accept critical feedback

Must take pride & ownership of your work while meeting expectations

Must act with respect & tact with both customers & coworkers

Must have reliable transportation

Must be able sit, stand, bend at the waist, kneel, stoop, crouch, reach, walk, lift, push, & pull with or without reasonable accommodation

Must be able to lift 50 pounds without reasonable accommodation

Schedule:

Must be flexible to work assigned schedules between 10am and 8pm, Monday through Friday, 9am and 8pm on Saturday, and between 10am and 6pm on Sunday. Schedules may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, & holidays. Must be available on weekends. While we try to remain flexible with scheduling, not every request can be granted.

Rate of pay is dependent on availability, & willingness to take on responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 41 per week
