Primary Purpose of Position | This position serves as the Planning & Space Data Manager - with responsibility for generating, compiling, reviewing, updating, and reporting UNC Charlotte's planning and space data for distribution to the campus community using current university supported platforms and other project management or reporting software. Additionally, this position works in close coordination with Facility Information Services (FIS), Institutional Research (IR), project managers, and other departments in Facility Management (FM) to ensure planning and space data is accurate and updated. This person will communicate with department space managers to confirm changes to space occupancy and usage, along with anticipating and planning for future space needs. This person will be responsible for administering the space audit program to include scheduling and reporting, along with updating the resultant space data. Other space-related responsibilities include compiling, reviewing, applying, and confirming FICM (Facilities Inventory and Classification Manual) room use codes, UNC System program codes, and tracking departmental allocations and occupancy information. Additionally, this position compiles, reviews, and updates space data for coordination with the UNC General Administration space report, as well as compiling planning data from projects, studies, and other resources to generate reports and recommendations for the university community. Participates in the project intake process to recommend updates and efficiencies to current processes and policies - communicating changes to the broader campus community as necessary. Utilizes Microsoft platforms, AutoCAD, Blue Beam, and Revit to communicate information and update planning and space data. |
Minimum Education/Experience | University Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from a four-year college or university and one year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
