Concert Venue Retail Sales Associate - Seasonal

The Bethel Woods Museum Store located at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, is an historic Landmark built on the site of the historic 1969 Woodstock Music Festival in Bethel NY. It is founded on Peace, Love and Music and host 25 Live Nation Concerts through the Summer and Fall.

The “Bindy Bazaar” Museum Store is a high-end gift shop located next to the Bethel Woods Museum that features the history of the 60’s and the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival.The Museum Gift Store features products inspired by the 60’s but with a contemporary flair.

As part of Bethel Woods Center for the Preforming Arts, one of the premier preforming art centers in the country, our team is expected to engage with guests and create an entertaining, fun, exciting and memorable experience.

The Museum Store is searching for summer/fall sales associates who will report to the Store Manager and have the following responsibilities:

Position Preferences/Requirements:

• Store operations includes: ticketing of new items, stocking store as needed, helping customers and knowledge of product.
• Comfortable operating all aspects of the POS system. Opening and closing all registers.
• Willing to work indoors at Museum Store or Outdoors at Concert Venue
• Ideally, have an interest Woodstock history, music, and museum history and/or a willingness to learn about it.
• Must be outgoing, positive, and friendly towards customers, team members and venue staff.
• Must work well in a fast paced environment that can be physically demanding.
• Must be available to work concert nights and weekends.
• Full or Part time available through Summer and Fall Concert Season.

Qualifications and skills

• Retail experience preferably boutique, gift or department store sales.
• Must be highly organized, detail oriented and have great communication skills.
• High-energy, friendly, outgoing personality. Enjoys People, Music and local History.
• Able to stand for 8 hours a day. Willing to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
