Job Summary
The facility manager is the commanding officer of the Handcar Tours facility. They are responsible for the facility and ensuring it is ready for customers each day. This job requires the ability to communicate well, troubleshoot problems, and delegate responsibilities to other employees. Prior experience in recreational or tourism businesses is highly encouraged.
Responsibilities
· Helping to set up and put away equipment each shift
· Delegating tasks to other employees
· Checking in customers
· Giving the customer briefing speech
· Manage payroll using our payroll computer program
· Answering phone calls, email, other customer service.
· Manage social media Instagram and Tik Tok accounts
· Schedule employees
· Ensure gift shop is stocked with merchandise
· Aid in tour opperations
Requirements
-High school education or higher (Bachelor's degree preferred but not required)
-2 years or more experience as a lead or manager
- Experience in recreational businesses and not afraid to be working outside is highly valued
-Good communicator, organized, and comfortable working with people
-Good problem solver and able to troubleshoot unexpected problems
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
-Proficient in English (verbal and written communication)
