Retail Store Shift Supervisor supervises the staff of a retail store during an assigned shift. Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. Being a Retail Store Shift Supervisor maintains store appearance and product presentation to company standards. Provides support to sales associates during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise. Additionally, Retail Store Shift Supervisor requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to store manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Retail Sales Associate
Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and purchases
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Stock shelves and merchandise displays
- Demonstrate product knowledge and effectively communicate features and benefits to customers
- Meet or exceed sales goals and targets
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
- Assist with inventory management and replenishmentRequirements:
- Previous experience in retail sales
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in Spanish as a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of basic math skills for cash handling purposes
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers
