Waggie Pet Zone is a family-owned dog boarding, daycare, training, grooming, and veterinary clinic. We recently added a Full Time Veterinarian who will see appointments Monday Through Friday. We are looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our team. We focus on the whole health of the individual animal, nutrition and lifestyle play a big factor in our treatment plans. A veterinary Technician will be responsible for obtaining patient histories, communicating with clients about any concerns, obtaining samples from patients, drawing up vaccines, aiding the veterinarian with the exam, and keeping the exam room and area clean between and after appointments. This position will also require a technician who is comfortable in surgery, aiding the doctor in prepping the patient for surgery, monitoring throughout the procedure, and discharging care post-procedure.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in veterinary technology preferred
- Certification as a veterinary technician (CVT) or veterinary technician specialist (VTS) is a plus
- Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary setting is highly desired
- Knowledge of animal physiology, behavior, and basic medical terminology
- Proficient in animal restraint techniques and handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Familiarity with veterinary equipment and ability to operate X-ray machines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

-Monday through Friday and occasional Saturday's. This is a FULL - TIME position!
