Job Description

Reporting to the Sr. Manager – Quality and part, this position is responsible for all administrative aspects of the Dealer and End User Returns, including all aspects of physical handling, warranty administration, credit assignment and cost mitigation. Further to this this position maintains responsibility for the approval of system generated Returned Goods requests, and daily interfacing with the business systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage Midea’s corporate budgets and costs of reverse logistics for the purpose of profit & process improvement.
• Review, document, and analyze the reverse logistics activities, cost and drive to reduce those costs and streamline business flow.  
• Focus activities at both the root causes of returns coupled with developing a multitude of methods to minimize the cost aspects of the same, such as product packaging, physical distribution, sales & warranty policies and costs, and secondary product distribution.  
• Manage  current and new vendors through an RFQ (Request for Quote) process, decision matrix, and routing in Midea’s approval system.
• Manage monthly reports that critique Key performance Indicators of the reverse logistics function, compiling monthly summaries of all returns costs and volumes.
• Conducts annual/bi-annual Requests for Quotation for external dealers to purchase returned and refurbished goods.
• Work in liaison with eComm group to coordinate the availability of inventory to address thew needs of emerging on-line sale of refurbished goods.
• Other duties assigned.
  

Required Qualifications

• BS/BA in Materials Management, Tech school graduate or related business degree
•  Minimal 3 ~ 5 years of experience in reverse logistics, field service or refurbishing operation along with working knowledge of US recycling practices.
• Experience in the home appliance industry or comparable consumer product returns management.
• Thorough understanding with demonstrated knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, coupled with Strong creative writing, and presentation skills.
• Domestic and International travel up to 25%.

Salary: $100k-130k, 15% Bonus, 401K, Medical, Vision and Dental
