Overview/Risks
The Returns Coordinator is a central resource who is solely responsible for controlling and maintaining all tissue and devices returned from customers, including customer complaints and quality retrievals. Coordinates information with Customer Service, Accounting, Q/A, Processing, and Inventory Control. Coordinates related inventory (physically and electronically) with all distribution sites throughout the organization. This includes investigating and resolving all related discrepancies. Assists Inventory Control and Shipping Department with duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and controls all tissue and devices returned by customers, including “return to stock”, customer complaints or those related to a quality retrieval.
- Determines what type of containment is required or whether tissue may return to stock “as is”
- Coordinates the return authorizations and related documentation, communicates concerns, discrepancies and inconsistencies with Customer Service Retains all documentation as required.
- Coordinates customer credit issuance with the Accounting Department.
- Decides whether tissue or device requires repackaging and relabeling before returning to inventory
- Coordinates all repackaging/relabeling activity with the corresponding production facility.
- Investigates and resolves all discrepancies related to returns at all inventory locations and facilities.
- Electronically and physically, transfers all completed returned tissue into the finished goods warehouse.
- Coordinates with the Customer Complaints department to perform the quality inspections of returned tissue and devices related to hospital complaints or improper shipping conditions
- Works with Regulatory on all quality retrievals and is responsible to securely quarantine related tissue/devices upon receipt from the field, until final disposition.
- Retains and maintains files of all original Return & Credit Authorization paperwork, as required
- Maintains clean and orderly returns room and associated work areas.
- Reconciles and processes all returned tissue to final disposition.
- Adheres to all safety and hazardous waste/material handling guidelines.
- Works in accordance with all ISO, AATB and FDA regulations.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Years of Experience: 1 - 3 years
Other: Inventory control experience
Specialized Knowledge, Technical Skills, and Abilities:
Self-starter with excellent investigative skills and very detail oriented. Good computer skills in a Windows environment including Excel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associate's Degree
Years of Experience: 3 - 5 years
Other: Inventory Control/Shipping experience – experience in tissue banking or related field
Specialized Knowledge, Technical Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in data entry, Microsoft Excel, Access and MRP software. Knowledge of human anatomy. Excellent organizational skills. Must have good attention to detail and must be able to read up to 14 digit numbers accurately.
