The Director of Revenue Management & Sales will set, direct and implement the overall strategic plan for Revenue Management, E-Commerce and Sales for The Hotel Chalet. The individual will work closely with the Leadership Team, Managing Director, and other disciplines to ensure the development and execution of the group, transient, catering and marketing strategy, and all other revenue generating areas of the hotel. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Director of Revenue & Sales is responsible for setting the direction for the hotel’s revenue, marketing, and sales objectives and for overseeing the successful execution of strategic and tactical plans for sales and marketing. Success in this role is largely dependent on the ability to assess the competitive landscape to properly position the hotel. A key factor in measuring the success of the hotel’s positioning will be the ability to drive higher rated business to be measured through a higher blended ADR and RevPAR growth.
The Director of Revenue Management & Sales will be primarily focused on maximizing topline revenues through strategic and focused management of inventory and room rates. In addition, this role will have final responsibility for, and work closely with, several outsourced agencies to drive digital marketing and direct sales initiatives for the property.
The ideal candidate will have several years of hands-on revenue management and ecommerce experience along with significant involvement and exposure to the sales process. This role will interact frequently with customers and travel industry professionals. The position will ultimately be responsible for the entire commercial strategy and execution for the property.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Principle duties and responsibilities include:
· Develop and implement hotel’s total sales and revenue positioning plan.
· Focused management of room rates to maximize occupancy and overall revenue and profitability.
· Professionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events.
· Actively leads weekly revenue and strategy meetings
· Produce and analyze short- and long-term forecasting.
· Analyze and respond to trends in group and transient inventory to include occupancy, rates, product line and strategic revenue goals.
· In-depth analysis of industry intelligence reports
· Develop and execute action plans against existing and new target accounts to achieve and exceed sales quotas within the assigned segment.
· Incorporates marketing and public relations initiatives to support the revenue & sales strategies and activities.
· Works closely with the 3rd party digital marketing agencies to ensure maximizing revenue, sales and marketing opportunities including but not limited to Direct Digital & E-mail Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, and Social Media.
· Participate as a team player with other Executive Team Members.
· Be a leader and role model to all employees.

Additional Job Description Qualifications and Skills:
A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support their competencies therein.
· Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration or related field experience preferred.
· 5 plus years of previous senior level hotel revenue and/or sales & marketing management experience preferred
· A successful track record of revenue management and repositioning.
· Proven track record of accomplishment in Sales and/or Revenue Management
· Availability and willingness for limited travel.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Excellent organization skills.
· Demonstrated business and financial acumen.
· Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
· Ability to deliver presentations in a concise, well-organized manner.
· Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
