Revenue Accounting Director is responsible for the development and direction of revenue cycle management operations for the organization that optimize the patient financial interaction along the care continuum. Revenue Cycle Supervisor

  • Summary: Supervises and coordinates activities of team members processing professional and facility bills. The billing Supervisor will ensure that OOMC bills are processed accurately, promptly and in compliance with OOMC, CMS and other state and national policies.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities the Billing Supervisor is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all billing activities. Other duties may be assigned as determined by OOMC management.

    • Provide leadership and daily supervision and support the centralized billing team, this position is responsible for the supervision of all OOMC billing team members and supports both professional, facility and self-pay claims processing.
    • Ensure accurate and timely bill processing including charge entry into the NextGen or the Advanced MD Practice Management Systems, charge validation, bill edits, bill release to the clearinghouse for processing, resolution of claim rejections at the clearinghouse (pre-adjudication edits) and rebilling/corrected claim processing as needed.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators and productivity goals; identify root cause for variances and applicable process improvements; and report key findings to appropriate leadership.
    • Train, schedule, assign, and review work of billing team members.
    • Review and evaluate teammate productivity and quality according to the QA Policy
    • Responsible for the routine operations of PODIS, co-pay assistance programs and other systems that span Operations and Revenue Cycle Management.
    • Develop and implements record keeping systems, forms, policies, and procedures related to medical billing.
    • Identify and resolve problems and inconsistencies, suggesting corrective actions and implementing changes to policy and procedure under the guidance of the VP of RCM.
    • Communicate and coordinate billing policies, practices and procedures with department and company managers and officials, clients, customers, and the public.
    • Assure compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial Insurance, and Federal and State Laws impacting health care providers.
    • Work with providers, Operations team members, Compliance and other groups within the organization to train and support their understanding of the healthcare billing process to ensure accurate and timely reporting of services provided.
    • Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Directly supervises 10-20 employees in the Billing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
