Revenue Accounting Director is responsible for the development and direction of revenue cycle management operations for the organization that optimize the patient financial interaction along the care continuum. Develops strategies to optimize operations and to ensure sufficient cash flow. Being a Revenue Accounting Director establishes targets, policies, and internal controls that will drive improvements and efficiencies in overall service revenue capture and collection. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and responsiveness to changes in requirements. Additionally, Revenue Accounting Director coordinates with stakeholders across the organization to drive optimal financial performance. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Typically reports to the cfo or top management. The Revenue Accounting Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments.     We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Accounting to lead our accounting team. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and compliance, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory standards. This critical role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership capabilities, and extensive experience in financial management.


    Responsibilities:


    • Oversee the preparation and distribution of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting standards.
    • Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit process and address any audit findings or recommendations.
    • Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads and senior management.
    • Develop financial forecasts and variance analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
    • Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying areas for improvement or corrective action.
    • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
    • Conduct profitability analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and other ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
    • Identify trends, opportunities, and risks impacting the financial performance of the organization.
    • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Review and enhance accounting processes and systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
    • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
    • Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the accounting department.
    • Delegate responsibilities effectively, ensuring workload distribution and alignment with team members' skills and development goals.
    • Evaluate and recommend financial systems, tools, and technologies to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
    • Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to implement and maintain accounting software and systems.
    • Ensure data integrity and security in financial systems, implementing controls and protocols as needed.


    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
    • Proven experience 7 years in a senior accounting or finance role, with demonstrated leadership and managerial skills.
    • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards (GAAP).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
    • Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis tools; experience with ERP systems and financial software (e.g. NetSuite and QuickBooks) preferred.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
    • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in accounting and finance.
