Revenue Accounting Director is responsible for the development and direction of revenue cycle management operations for the organization that optimize the patient financial interaction along the care continuum. Develops strategies to optimize operations and to ensure sufficient cash flow. Being a Revenue Accounting Director establishes targets, policies, and internal controls that will drive improvements and efficiencies in overall service revenue capture and collection. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and responsiveness to changes in requirements. Additionally, Revenue Accounting Director coordinates with stakeholders across the organization to drive optimal financial performance. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Typically reports to the cfo or top management. The Revenue Accounting Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments.   • As business tax director, you will oversee the business tax department as they prepare and file federal and state(s) business and other related tax forms. You will manage the department, provide clients with tax guidance and planning, and assist with various research projects throughout the year. We serve a wide variety of industries including but not limited to: real estate, construction, manufacturing, and service industries.

    Job Goals:
    • Strategically plan business tax department financials and staffing to meet company goals.
    • Ensure a positive employee experience and role success.
    • Establish business tax department processes to ensure positive client outcomes including timely and accurate results.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Interviews, hires, and trains department employees.
    • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
    • Provides constructive and timely employee feedback and performance evaluations.
    • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

    Responsibilities
    • Meet goals set by president including financial targets, operational targets, employee performance.
    • Oversee the preparation and review business and individual tax returns.
    • Research business tax issues as needed.
    • Maintain an understanding and knowledge of changes in tax law by reading professional literature or attending tax seminars and training courses.
    • Consult with clients to develop a basic understanding of their financial affairs and the scope of their tax liabilities.
    • Proactively identify and communicate opportunities for client and firm process improvements to enhance efficiencies based on knowledge gained relative to each client's operations, processes, and business objectives.
    • Work directly with firm leadership regarding oversight of the Business tax team.
    • Evaluate Business tax team member performance and participate in fostering team members' growth.
    • Lead Business tax team trainings and assist in identifying need areas for training.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Expert knowledge of general business taxation.
    • Strong organization skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to problem solve and oversee completion of multiple engagements in a deadline driven environment.
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and tax software.
    • Ability to train staff of all levels in a variety of skill areas.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • CPA – required
    • At least 10 full busy seasons worked in the tax profession – helping to prepare and review individual and business tax returns.
    • At least 5 years of people leadership experience.
    • Experience with Thomson Reuters CS Professional suite preferred
