OrthoUnited, Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Revenue Cycle Manager to join our team. The Revenue Cycle Manager will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our organization, including billing, coding, and collections. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Essential functions:
- Daily operations of the insurance/billing department
- Financial reporting
- AR reporting
- Conduct quarterly audits
- Develops, recommends, and works with Insurance Coordinator to implement procedures to remain in compliance in all aspects of billing and collections
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely reimbursement
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding their billing inquiries
- Manage direct report employees; time/attendance, corrective actions, performance reviews
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and changes in coding guidelines
- EMR (Medent) super user
Qualifications:
- 3 years or more of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management
- Proficient in medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Orthopaedic billing experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software; Medent is a plus
