Revenue Accounting Manager supervises the staff and daily operations of an oil and gas revenue accounting department. Oversees processes for booking revenue, performing reconciliations, analysis, and calculating and distributing royalty checks. Being a Revenue Accounting Manager submits and prepares reports and filings that comply with applicable regulations and practices. Implements specialized oil and gas software to optimize accounting operations. Additionally, Revenue Accounting Manager possesses experience and knowledge of accounting practices that are specific to the oil and gas industry. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Revenue Accounting Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Revenue Accounting Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     SUMMARY

    Responsible for the accumulation, computation, and maintenance of all accountable records within the Fuels Management fuels account. Performs fuels accounting duties by recording all applicable fuels transactions into the Business Systems Modernization-Energy (BSM-E), Fuels Manager Defense (FMD) and ensures the FMD and the Fuels Enterprise Server (FES) is reconciled daily, weekly, monthly and at end of fiscal year. Maintains file plans, correspondence, and reports.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conduct daily reconciliation of fuels account paperwork and closeout IAW DLA-Energy policies.
    • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly closeout of fuel account IAW DLA-Energy policies.
    • Provide full audit trail and daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly backup IAW DLA-Energy policies.
    • QCs daily receipt, inventory, and issue documents.
    • Identifies out-of-tolerance gains and losses and conducts investigation and corrective actions.
    • Project fuel requirements, orders fuel deliveries and completes receipt paperwork IAW DLA-Energy policies.
    • Process computer transactions to ensure proper billing and payment for all product receipts and issue transactions.
    • Ensures proper segregation of products received and verifies quantities.
    • Monitor fuel inventories to ensure adequate stock levels are sustained for mission and IMP requirements.
    • Provide, reset and track VIL keys for base assigned and contractor vehicles.
    • Records Custodian- Maintain office files and records IAW Air Force instruction and DLA Policies.
    • Perform dispatcher/FSC duties as required IAW AFI 23-201.
    • Maintain fuels management policy and delegation letters. Ensures documents accurate and up to date.
    • Answer phone’s, take messages and responds to customer needs or requirements.
    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    None.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Position consists of moderate to extended periods of work in an outdoor environment and moderate periods of office work. Frequently uses hands/fingers to work with hand tools and small powered tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, and pliers. Moderate to extensive periods of walking, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, twisting, reaching, lifting and carrying up to an excess of 50 pounds.     WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Work is performed in both a professional office setting and outdoor environments with uneven surfaces and/or restricted areas requiring PPE. Work may be performed outdoors in adverse conditions including inclement weather such as high humidity, heat, cold, high wind, rain, and various local conditions. Katmai strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.


    WORK SCHEDULE

    30 hours per week. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.




    Job Requirements:


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Preferred commercial or military/government experience in performing fuel inventory accounting.
    • Fuels Manager Defense (FMD) Course and be current on FMD processes, training, and certifications required.
    • Experience to include reviewing inventory records, measurements, calculations, and documentation; preparing and inputting inventory data; preparing reports.
    • Must have or be able to obtain and retain a government Secret Security Clearance.

    SPECIAL SKILLS

    • Ability to determine, analyze and properly respond during fuel exercises and emergency situations.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 7 Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Knowledge of commonly used accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Must be exceedingly well organized, flexible.
    • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.

    TRAVEL

    Travel of up to 10% may be expected.


    DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

    Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 10%.
