Revenue Accounting Manager supervises the staff and daily operations of an oil and gas revenue accounting department. Oversees processes for booking revenue, performing reconciliations, analysis, and calculating and distributing royalty checks. Being a Revenue Accounting Manager submits and prepares reports and filings that comply with applicable regulations and practices. Implements specialized oil and gas software to optimize accounting operations. Additionally, Revenue Accounting Manager possesses experience and knowledge of accounting practices that are specific to the oil and gas industry. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Revenue Accounting Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Revenue Accounting Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The Assistant Corporate Controller will be responsible for the Company’s revenue recognition and other technical accounting areas. The Assistant Corporate Controller will also drive accounting process improvement initiatives to help increase annual revenue. This position will report to the Corporate Controller.
What you will do:
Subject matter expert pertaining to business combinations, joint venture accounting, equity, debt, and physician compensation.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies.
Lead projects focused on accounting implementations and process redesign.
Partners with Revenue Cycle Management on revenue matters.
To be successful in this role you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred
Healthcare revenue recognition experience required
Superior prioritization and project management skills
Ability to work cross functionally to drive process changes
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
