Revenue Accounting Manager jobs in Pittsfield, MA

Position Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for Managing the Accounting Function surrounding AP, AR, General Ledger as well routine accounting transactional activities and financial reporting to Senior Site Management as well as Corporate Accounting.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the following accounting processes are adhered to in a timely and accurate fashion in accordance with Corporate Procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Invoicing
• Accounts Payable            
• Accounts Receivable and Cash Collections 
• Bank reconciliations
• Monthly closing process
• Assist with monthly financial statement reporting and consolidation (Cognos)
• Assist Controller in the development of the quarterly forecasts and annual budget
• Support annual audit and tax requests
• Other duties as assigned

Regulatory Responsibilities  

• Conduct business in a responsible manner that complies with all state, FDA, EU, OSHA and HIPAA regulations, or otherwise as applicable

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Supervise activities of staff to ensure required responsibilities are being performed
• Ensure development plans are in place and periodic reviews are conducted

Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience 

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Excellent computer skills absolutely required 
• Advanced Excel skills a must
• Experience with SAP a plus
• Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines
• Organized and detail oriented
• Collaborative management style

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
