Revenue Accounting Manager supervises the staff and daily operations of an oil and gas revenue accounting department. Oversees processes for booking revenue, performing reconciliations, analysis, and calculating and distributing royalty checks. Being a Revenue Accounting Manager submits and prepares reports and filings that comply with applicable regulations and practices. Implements specialized oil and gas software to optimize accounting operations. Additionally, Revenue Accounting Manager possesses experience and knowledge of accounting practices that are specific to the oil and gas industry. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Revenue Accounting Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Revenue Accounting Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Position Summary

    The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing various accounting duties to support the financial operations of the hotel. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Fosse property management system, M-3 accounting system, and Birch Street PO system experience is necessary.

    The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Accounts Payable Management:
      • Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
      • Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
      • Prepare and process electronic payments and checks for vendors.
      • Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions.
    2. Accounts Receivable Management:
      • Generate and distribute guest invoices accurately and timely.
      • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
      • Apply payments received to guest accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
      • Assist with the resolution of guest billing inquiries and disputes.
    3. General Ledger Maintenance:
      • Record journal entries and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.
      • Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
      • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
    4. Financial Reporting:
      • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
      • Prepare various financial reports and analyses for management review.
      • Provide support during internal and external audits.
    5. Budgeting and Forecasting:
      • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
      • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
    6. Compliance and Controls:
      • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
      • Maintain documentation and support for audit purposes.
      • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
    7. Ad-hoc Projects:
      • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
      • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
    • 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the hospitality industry.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
    • Hotel Accounting experience
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
