Revenue Accounting Manager supervises the staff and daily operations of an oil and gas revenue accounting department. Oversees processes for booking revenue, performing reconciliations, analysis, and calculating and distributing royalty checks. Being a Revenue Accounting Manager submits and prepares reports and filings that comply with applicable regulations and practices. Implements specialized oil and gas software to optimize accounting operations. Additionally, Revenue Accounting Manager possesses experience and knowledge of accounting practices that are specific to the oil and gas industry. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Revenue Accounting Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Revenue Accounting Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The Director of Revenue Integrity’s primary responsibility is the leadership and oversight of both the hospital and physician enterprise revenue cycle for the entire Wilson Health system. The Revenue Cycle is a critical component of the overall financial performance of Wilson Health. It is essential that it operates with efficiency, effectiveness, a positive patient experience and employee engagement. Oversight and direction of the revenue cycle includes third party payer relations, charge master, coding, patient accounting and planning performance improvement initiatives for billing processes to increase claim efficiencies and lower denials.The Value You Bring:- Leads the system wide development and implementation of revenue cycle strategies that are optimal and consistent with healthcare industry best practice and processes.
- Establish best practices and operationalize standard work within Patient Accounting and all revenue generating departments to improve yield.
- Executes data-mining and in-depth accounts receivable analysis to identify revenue opportunities and design and operationalize improvements.
- Assesses and responds to current and future internal and external healthcare trends in order to establish necessary direction.
- Ensures that revenue cycle goals including A/R days, DFNB, cash, and bad debt are delivered.
- Monitors department staff productivity with key metrics and makes timely adjustments when/where needed.
- Responsible for accurately and timely submitting claims.
- Analyzes and reviews billing requirements to maintain and improve clean claim submission and acceptance, bad debt reduction, and other key indicators.
- Monitors Accounts Receivable aging reports and keeping collection percentages within standards.
- Responsible for Accounts Receivable and denials management including reporting/accountability and resolution.
- Responsible for charge master and charge capture.
- Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, standards and directives from regulatory agencies and third-party payers.
- Maintains a collaborative supporting relationship with management across the system that encourages optimal patient and financial outcomes.
- Plans and prepares year end audit, cost report schedules, and payer audits as it relates to A/R operations.
- Serves as a financial expert between billing, IT, and clinical teams for revenue integrity.
- Accountable for complete, timely and accurate delivery of reporting functions.
Education/Experience:- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Accounting or Finance preferred. Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 7-10 years successful experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations with demonstration of progressive responsibility.
- Demonstrated leadership skills related to relationship building, ability to build and lead high performing teams while balanced with financial profitability. Self-starter who is result oriented with a willingness and desire to work with and through others to accomplish organizational goals.
- Possess excellent knowledge of healthcare finance and revenue cycle operations as well as communication and presentation skills.
