Accounting Manager, Full-Time

Pay Range: $22 - $28 / hour BOE

Responsibilities

• Managing, training and developing a team of 4 to 6 Staff and/or Senior Accountants
• Monthly financial review of team’s financial statements
• Lead various department special projects initiatives
• Reconciling bank accounts, posting journal entries and balancing general and subsidiary ledgers
• Performing month-end processes
• Preparation of financial statements including Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, and Cost of Goods Sold Analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Financials statement analysis
• Cash flow forecasting and management
• Sales & Use tax filings
• Payroll reconciliations
• Financial statements audits and reviews
• Perform other accounting functions as directed by senior management

Education and Experience Requirements

• 4-year college degree in accounting or finance preferred
• 5 years accounting experience in a fast-paced environment
• Supervisory experience in an accounting department required
• CPA (or working towards certification) preferred, but not required
• A self-starter, that can work independently during the month-end close process
• Personable and can communicate with accountants and non-accountants alike
• A multi-tasker that can work in multiple sets of books while meeting their required deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent computer skills
• Accounting software applications experience (Sage, MAS 500 preferred)
