Revenue Accounting Manager supervises the staff and daily operations of an oil and gas revenue accounting department. Oversees processes for booking revenue, performing reconciliations, analysis, and calculating and distributing royalty checks. Being a Revenue Accounting Manager submits and prepares reports and filings that comply with applicable regulations and practices. Implements specialized oil and gas software to optimize accounting operations. Additionally, Revenue Accounting Manager possesses experience and knowledge of accounting practices that are specific to the oil and gas industry. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Revenue Accounting Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Revenue Accounting Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. CAMS (Community Association Management Services), one of the fastest growing community association management companies in the southeastern US, is seeking an Accounting Manager.
The CAMS Accounting Manager is a key operational role within the company. The primary responsibility is to lead a group of accounting professionals and ensure accurate, on-time production of monthly financial reports for community associations contracted with CAMS. The right candidate will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods to ensure consistency and accuracy within the department. The right candidate is also adept at interpersonal interactions and will work closely with Community Managers, key departmental heads, and will help maintain client relationships.
*AR and AP are separate functional areas that do not fall under the Accounting Manager’s supervision
