Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Management Specialist to join our team. This individual will work closely with the Director of Revenue Cycle Management to oversee the financial/billing aspects of our optometry and podiatry services. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in revenue cycle management within the healthcare industry, with a focus on optometry and podiatry.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist the Director of Revenue Cycle Management in overseeing all aspects of the revenue cycle process for optometry and podiatry services.
· Ensure accurate and timely billing and coding for services rendered, including verification of insurance coverage and proper documentation.
· Review and analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing strategies to optimize revenue and minimize denials.
· Collaborate with billing staff, providers, and other departments to resolve billing and coding issues in a timely manner.
· Stay current with industry regulations and guidelines related to revenue cycle management, including updates to CPT, ICD, and HCPCS codes.
· Provide training and support to staff on billing and coding best practices, compliance requirements, and revenue cycle processes.
· Assist with audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
· Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) certifications required.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in revenue cycle management within the healthcare industry, with specific experience in optometry and podiatry preferred.
· Strong understanding of medical billing and coding practices, including knowledge of CPT, ICD, and HCPCS codes.
