Revenue Cycle Director directs and oversees the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of an organization's revenue cycle activities to optimize the patient financial interaction along the care continuum. Reviews, designs, and implements processes surrounding admissions, pricing, billing, third party payer relationships, compliance, collections, and other financial analyses to ensure that clinical revenue cycle is effective and properly utilized. Being a Revenue Cycle Director tracks numerous metrics related to the patient engagement cycle including record coding error rates and billing turnaround times to develop sound revenue cycle analysis and reporting. Manages relations with payers and providers to generate high reimbursement rates and a low level of denials. Additionally, Revenue Cycle Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Revenue Cycle Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Revenue Cycle Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. You are known to be a team player, someone that is engaging, communicates, embraces change and can create Heart Connections with owners, associates and guests. In the role of Revenue Optimization Strategist (Revenue Manager)  you will:  - Own all streams of data pertaining to property performance and revenueopportunities, analyzing, and providing recommendations to Commercial Strategy Teams. - Become the master of hotel brand resources and their revenue management systems. Staying up to date with updates and utilizing these resources for analysis and strategy. - Become a resource to the hotels by providing training on the brand systems to new associates and provide ongoing support to current.  - Innovate and seek new methods of reporting and identifying actionable data  - Conduct ongoing competitor price and product analysis to ensure optimal rate positioning and product offer, relative to the marker/competition. - Actively participate in all pricing decisions for transient, group and wholesale segments. -  Engage and communicate with the properties by developing & facilitating sales & revenue strategy meetings. - Participate in forecast & budgeting creating process for assigned hotels. - Monitor brand revenue management systems daily for accuracy of data and communicate system recommendations to the Commercial Strategy team.  - Travel required (at least 10% of the time.)  The ideal candidate will have: At least five years of progressive experience in revenue management. Experience with hotel brand revenue management systems a plus (IHG, Choice, Marriott, Hilton and/or Hyatt preferred.) Bachelor's degree preferred. Valid driver's license required as position will be required to travel. Verbal and written English language proficiency is needed, as is the ability to deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting consistent levels of professionalism. Work under variable conditions, in a fast paced environment.  Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately. Physical Requirements: The ability to work long hours; sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force to frequently or constantly carry, lift, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Ability to work under variable temperatures or noise levels. Near vision; ability to see details. Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body or arms.
